so wussup yeah i've been seeing people talking about mchesney , warnick and all that (NO HATE)

BUT WOO i think with all 28 finalists people tend to only look at 3or4 finalists and say hey this ones gonna win ... thinks thats a bit sad because there are so much killaz that deserves props

No offense to anyone that entered, you guys all shred SO hard and have amazing talents for sure.  But if I was Berman I wouldn't be picking any of them.  None of the videos come close to some of the previous winners vids in my opinion.   Vanular, Zicat, Clarke, Wallisch, and Brogan (meh) come on now.  Those kids all bring something pretty unique to the table.  I just didn't see uniqueness in any of these vids.  Sorry guys.

If I had to pick a top 4 I'd go with Matt Luckzkow (sp?), Hugo Pelletier, Paul Bergeron (who's video happened to show up sometime after the list was first announced on the Level1 site), or Chris Logan (who absolutely slays although the vid doesn't do him much justice), but that's just me. 

And oh ya...  Who did Pat Goodnough piss off to not make finals?  His video was fucking sick.  Definitely better than a lot of the ones that made it in my opinion.

And how come no girls enter?  There has to be at least one crazy good unknown chick out there by now.  That would be different

mang i know what you but there ARE  superunknowns out there maing look at the steez of hugo pelletier , the urban sickness of mcchesney , melloni  fuck (who would think someone from spain would kill it that much) , bullet who is insane and there are still others that are sickk

i think we see it that way because the level as increased since tom wallisch you know , now theres 28 finalists and even a lot of people who are not in the finalists are killin it

thats how i see it

I definitely agree with ya on that for sure, the level of riding is off the hook.  I just don't think anything sets one apart from the rest. 

Best of luck picking one Berman!  Such a tough call.

yea but regardless if he did win or not he was going to make it, and i would not be surprised if Martini films with level one some where down the line...

could have been better that he didnt win...im not sure if hes got some shit going with solomon but he rocks that shit out of that gsuit and uses those skis...

and not to mention hes got banger shots in the everyday is a saturday trailer

so should he have won, probably but it doesn't really matter

i could only watch the first one. it was a real dope edit, but i don't think it was enough to win superunknown. for an edit, it was so sick, but to be picked to go to a spring park shoot with a jump line? i don't think it had enough big jumps

The euros killed it super hard. I really liked Matt Luczkow's (have no idea if I spelled it right...) edit. None of the edits seemed special though. The style was all similar and lots of it forced... We'll see.

matini should have won last year for sure, give that kid the chance to film with anyone an he'll get shots after shots after shots..


I believe the only reason he didnt win last year is becfause he won jib academy the year before that.

Thate being said, I doubt that he could ahve got that many (like older superuknown winner did) shots in a park shoot last year with the people that were filmign with level 1. as they were have a pretty similar styl to martini and have sponsor comiitted in level 1 movies but he could have gotten a little bunch.

It the first time in superunknwn history tat the guy whio ended up being the runner up became THAT much bigger then the one whowon the hole thing. Believe me, sponsors must have played a bi role on that one.



end of the story, marttini slays HARD and I thinkthere are way too many people who should win superunkown right now.

I have only heard of like 3 of the finalists before so they are all pretty much unknown to me.

It is so hard to pick a top three, but my favorite edits had to be Martin Boulais, Sean Jordan, Matt Luczkow (his big mountain shit was redic), Antwuan Mayet, Tim Mcchesney, and Oskari Raitanen.

And to the ever lasting statement that Nick Martini should have won last year, yeah it's true but hes filming with PBP now so whatever.

Yes! Pat's vid is so sick. His vid and matt L's are the only ones i have watched more than once. There is definately a lot of talent in the finalists this year but there doesnt seem to be one or even two that stand out from the rest. It's gonna be a tough decision

pat goodnough is the skiing equivalent of a mass murderer. dude is nothing short of ridiculous.

if you ride breck, you know this cat. spins crazy steez every way. and his superunknown was insane. unique style, no dildo-in-ass bang, sw 630, crazy dub, both ways everything, grabs, rail mechanics, can clearly handle huge jumps with no trouble, seems like just because he did no 27-to-pretz, he got fucked

i understand that berman has something specific he is looking for but pat is raw, he should at least be in the finals, especially compared to all these harlaut and wally-world wannabes. seems like the only person that isnt coppin everyone elses steez is holson

moving to colorado helped too. you get a lot more exposure out here, to go on top of the improvement people make hitting some of the best parks in the world.

Matt Luckzkow had by far the best edit and seanyyyj killed it as well.
I dunno, Sean's been trying and even though people know him a little bit (not a lot though at all) he would fit in with level 1 well. Matt just pwned this contest, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he didn't win because he did a lot of turns and really really fucking good skiing that wasn't on metal or in the air, but then again maybe level 1 will come through this year.

no offence to the riders, you all slay, but I get bored watching these videos.  I haven't watched many but I'm sick of watching the same rail tricks over and over from every rider with some alright jumps but nothing spectacular.  Obviously everyone in the finals are great skiers but man skiing is in a pretty stagnant state right now it seems like. 

Andy Parry FTW? haha I gotta say I love the traveling circus vids way more than these

Damn, Luka's was dope shit. I haven't seen Goodbough or whatever but I'll check him out, even though he didn't make finals.. and yeah. Everyone agrees last year was Martini's. Just look at his Breck edit this year, you could have had that Berman!
